Teri Watkin
My lifelong desire to grow closer to God led me to Spiritual Direction and subsequently to train in this ministry. This followed a lifetime of learning to understand people through the experience of adopting traumatised children, and subsequent training in art psychotherapy and counselling from which I have now retired.
I have worshipped within a number of different faith traditions including growing up in a Catholic family. As an adult I joined an Anglican church and then a church which was an amalgamation of Anglican, Baptist and House Church. On moving to North Norfolk I worshipped in the Vineyard Church but as this was some distance from home I now worship in an Anglican church that is part of the HTB network. These experiences have given me an understanding of different faith traditions, each of which have their own value, and I consider myself to be a follower of Jesus.
Creativity is very much part of who I am and I have a lovely studio which I take pleasure in sharing with my grandchildren and creating lovely memories with them. I love being in the open air and have always walked in the hills of Yorkshire where we lived for many years. I now enjoy cycling around the beautiful quiet Norfolk lanes and walking the coast path where I get lots of inspiration for my paintings.
